PERCUP puts dozens of specialty roasters in one place for coffee drinkers in Edinburgh: 40+ roasters and hundreds of fresh-roasted coffees, shipped across the UK and priced in GBP. Every bean is specialty grade, meaning it scored 80 or more on the SCA scale, and every one is traceable to a single farm or co-op.
Edinburgh has a lively independent cafe scene of its own. What we add is range: roasters and single origins that are hard to find under one roof. Pick your beans whole or ground, choose how you brew, and we ship them fresh across the UK.
You will find Onyx Coffee Lab, La Cabra, THREE, Nude and Cult, among others. Every lot is 100% arabica, with the origin, varietal and process on each product page so you know what you are getting.
If you like a smooth, chocolatey cup, start with Brazilian beans. For something balanced, try Colombian. If you want bright and floral, the Ethiopian and Kenyan lots deliver it, and there is the occasional Panama Geisha when you feel like a treat.

For espresso, a medium to medium-dark roast with chocolate and caramel notes is the easy choice. Pull it around 1:2, so 18g in for about 36g out. For filter and pour-over, go lighter to bring out the fruit and florals, and brew closer to 1:16. New to this? A medium-roast Colombian or Brazilian is a safe first bag.
