A drip bag (you will also see them called pour-over bags or hanging-ear sachets) holds 10 to 12g of freshly ground specialty coffee in its own paper filter. Tear it open, hook the ears over your mug, pour hot water through, and about a minute later you have a clean, filter-style cup. No grinder, no scale, no V60, nothing to wash up.

Real single-origin coffee, not commodity

Supermarket coffee bags are usually filled with blended commodity coffee. Ours are not. Every drip bag is specialty grade and traceable to a named farm, with single origins from Colombia, Ethiopia, Brazil, Kenya and even Panama Geisha, plus a few house blends. Drip bags vs instant coffee

They are not the same thing. A drip bag brews real ground coffee through a filter, so it tastes like pour over. Instant is coffee that has already been brewed and dried. Drip bags cost a little more and taste a lot better, which is why they have taken over desks, carry-ons and hotel rooms.

How to brew one

Hang the bag on your mug, pour about 30ml of water at 90 to 95C and let it bloom for 30 seconds, then top up slowly with another 150 to 200ml over a couple of minutes. Lift the bag out and you are done. One bag makes one cup.
